RESTAURANT THEATRE
FANDEMONIUM
Opening on September 3 at the Supper Stage in Durban North is Fandemonium,
devised and directed by Paul Zeeman and Gary Wright of The Doohwah Boys.
Fandemonium
is said to be a high-energy wacky comedy revue that looks at the
peculiar phenomenon of "fans" - thousands of people who lose their cool at the sight of their favourite singer or band;
people who collect memorabilia and go to great lengths and expense to follow their heroes.
Live songs will be interspersed with video footage. Among the artists featured - all of whom have
enjoyed a huge following - are Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, David Bowie and George Michael.
The revue is packaged like a TV show, so those present are warned to be prepared for maximum
audience partici-pation and The Supper Stage will be transformed into a TV studio!
Show times are 21h00 Tuesday to Saturdays (dinner from 18h30) and at 20h00 on Sundays (dinner
from 18h00).
For further information phone 84-9866.
