SRI-LANKA TOUR

Mahatma Gandhi said of Sri Lanka: "The natural scenery that I see around me is probably unsurpassed on the face of the earth".

Advanced Tours has arranged a visit to the island's ancient cities dating back to the third century BC and invites you to "witness the exotic and sacred Perahera festival to honour the tooth relic of Buddha. Watch wood carvers and silver-smiths create intricate art pieces and thrill to the magic of the Kandyan Dancers.

"Sri Lanka's temples are some of the most beautiful in the world as are the batik and ancient paintings. Artists have for centuries been inspired by the innate beauty of the island."

Tours cost less than R4 500 and bookings are now open for the two tours departing on June 4 and June 25. Contact Lal at Advanced Tours, Durban. Tel. 301-5230.
