NAUGHTY NOEL

Cocktails and laughter, but what comes after nobody knows. This quote from the lyrics of Noel Coward's song, Dance Little Lady, could describe Naughty Noel, the light-hearted revue that returns to play at the Playhouse Tudor Room from February 27 to March 24.

The revue was compiled by Garth Anderson who returns to Durban after appearing in Capab's Fiddler on the Roof in Cape Town.

While there he presented his Men, Women and Marriage, another compila- tion that has been seen in Durban.

STYLE

Anderson appears in Naughty Noel with singer Jinny Sagorin who has been described by critics as having "just the right style, voice and mannerisms." Coward's plays and music are currently enjoying a resurgence of popularity in Britain with revivals of the plays Private Lives and Design for Living and the new Coward/Cole Porter revue, Let's Do It. Naughty Noel, a homage to Coward's sophisticated use of language, is said to capture the absurdity and human folly that distinguishes his work.

FAMILIAR

Along with the familiar Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage, Mrs Worthington and Mad About the Boy Anderson has unearthed lesser known but equally enjoyable numbers.

The show can be seen Tuesdays to Saturdays (20h30) and Sundays (18h30). Seating is at tables and patrons encouraged to arrive early so that they can enjoy a drink before the show. A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are R27,50. Book through Computicket or Dial-A-Seat on 304-3631 (selected credit cards).
