Devised by DeWet Wraight, choreographed by Jiana Fullard and directed by Mervyn Goodman, it is said to emphasize the raw essence of Elvis the Pelvis. The cast come from diverse backgrounds, Clive Hitchens having appeared in operas such as Le Nozze di Figaro and Romeo et Juliette as well as shows like Pippin and The Rocky Horror Show, Jump, Shout and Boogie at the Thaba N'Chu Sun. |
ENTERTAINMENT
De Wet trained as an English teacher but chose the entertainment world as his career direction. Jiana Fullard, a new- comer to the Cellar, is a musical theatre graduate and former lecturer at Pretoria Technikon. She was one of three who choreographed Dance 95 and has also choreographed Razzle Jazzle Guys and Dolls, Pippin and part of Sweet Charity. Her artistic talents also include performances in Elvis and a whole lot of Rock and Roll, Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty.
