WINE AUCTION

Special pre-auction tastings of some of the wines to be sold at the 22nd Neder- burg Auction will be held throughout South Africa this month. Members of the public will be able to book tickets for these events. Previously tastings focused on the trade as the auction is so structured that only buyers with valid liquor licences may bid and buying on the day is closed to the public.

These consumer tastings will give wine- lovers a chance to taste the wines and ask their wine merchants to buy on their behalf at the auction on March 30. DURBAN The Durban tastings, conducted by wine consultant Dave Hughes, will be held in the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Conven- tion Centre, 1st Floor, on February 16 at 19h00 for 19h30.
