Greyville racecourse will make racing history on Valentine's Day, February 14, when the first racing meeting in South Africa to be held at night will take place against the spectacular Durban night skyline.
Work is well underway on this appealing new entertainment option for the city to install the 41 light masts holding the 586 floodlights illuminating the racecourse from the 1 600m mark. (Races longer than 1 600m will be run in daylight).
Greyville has started on a programme to refurbish restaurants and provide additional facilities. Private suites are available for hire for those wishing to put together a Valentine's party, etc.
Other race meetings at Greyville this month are February 10 and 17 (afternoon) and February 21 (night).
Bookings through Ariane or Teri on 309-4545.
