RESEARCH FORUMThe Ecotourism research unit of Technikon Natal in collaboration with other tertiary institutions in KZN invite all interested to an Arts & Culture Tourism Research Forum to be held at 09h00 on September 19 at the Cecil Renaud Theatre, Technikon Natal. The purpose is to provide a forum for academics, the tourism trade and industry, government and the community to discuss the issues related to cultural tourism in general. The organisers believe that tourism is a very complex industry which needs approaches of its own and that studies in tourism and its impact on the environ-ment are virtually non-existent. What is needed is a multi- disciplinary, holistic approach to the question of the inter-action between tourism and the environment. Anyone with an interest in research networking in the field of arts, crafts and culture and who cares for people and the environment should attend this forum. So, too, should anyone involved in tourism who has an interest in research. Register in advance to secure your seat. The registration fee is R60. Contact 301-7823 x 268 or fax 301-8782. |
