DIVERSE Bringing together the diverse musical styles of each of the groups, Crossing Rhythms promises to be a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds fusing the influences of classical, traditional, jazz and contem- porary African, Eastern and Western music and dance forms. Sharon and the NPO's Adrian Taylor have been orchestrating the polyrhythmic music with the help of a grant from the Arts and Culture Trust of the President. With support from NBS and Caltex, the orchestral scores and related educational resources will be made available to uni-versity music departments and music teachers throughout KZN. WORLD |
