CHAPTER AND VERSE

Felicity Keats, writer, journalist, teacher and founder of the Internet forum, Chapter and Verse, sees this Internet writing school as an extension of her teaching creative writing.

It provides students with the full spectrum of writing services - typing, editing and research publishing - by bringing publishers, literary agents and editors together with writers.

Having taught right brain creative writing techniques for five years, Chapter & Verse is marketed as a necessary medium providing free courses for all those who have access to Internet but cannot come to Felicity's classes.

Her courses have grown in popularity over the years and she now offers courses in novel, short story, journalism and children's writing. In the near future Chapter & Verse will offer courses in playwriting as well as poetry.

Felicity is director of the small publishing house, Umsinsi Press, which she started to help her students get into print. However, all students must adhere to strict editing checks, done by a literary agent, where manuscripts are sent for correction and consideration before going to print.

July 12 and 13 sees the book launch of Felicity Keats and Company Volume III of South African Short Stories and other Umsinsi publications.
